ABOUT THE ROLE

Xtreme Thoughts is looking for an experienced .NET Developer with 3+ years of hands-on experience in .NET development. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in C#, .NET Core/.NET, ASP.NET Core, Web API, Entity Framework Core, SQL Server, REST APIs, backend development, and third-party integrations.

This role focuses on developing scalable web applications and backend services, building RESTful APIs, managing databases, integrating third-party platforms, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining secure, reliable, and high-performance applications.

The candidate should be comfortable working independently on development tasks, understanding business requirements, and working with existing .NET codebases to deliver clean and maintainable solutions.

REQUIRED SKILLS

What you'll bring

  • 3+ years of professional experience as a .NET Developer or Backend Developer
  • Strong knowledge of C#, .NET Core/.NET, and ASP.NET Core
  • Hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs and ASP.NET Core Web APIs
  • Good knowledge of Entity Framework Core, LINQ, and database-driven application development
  • Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SQL queries, stored procedures, and database optimization
  • Good understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean coding practices
  • Experience integrating third-party APIs and external services using REST APIs and JSON
  • Knowledge of authentication and authorization using JWT, OAuth, and role-based access

RESPONSIBILITIES

What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain scalable web applications and backend services using .NET and C#
  • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core Web API
  • Implement business logic and application functionality using C#, Entity Framework Core, and LINQ
  • Design and manage database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server
  • Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database objects
  • Integrate .NET applications with third-party APIs, external platforms, and business services
  • Implement secure authentication and authorization using JWT, OAuth, and role-based access
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application, API, database, and integration-related issues
  • Improve application performance, scalability, security, and overall code quality
  • Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-structured code following development standards
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and continuous improvement of applications
  • Maintain source code using Git and follow proper version control and development practices
  • Work with existing applications to identify issues and implement enhancements or new functionality
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, project managers, and other technical teams
  • Understand business and client requirements and convert them into practical .NET technical solutions
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in .NET backend or web application development
  • Experience working on production-level .NET applications and REST API projects
  • Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms is a plus
  • Knowledge of Angular, React, or other frontend technologies is an advantage
  • Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines is a plus
  • Understanding of microservices architecture is an advantage
  • Experience with Redis, caching, or message queue technologies is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a technical team
